DIY Basic Tee Sewing Pattern PDF Download

I’m sharing another Brindille & Twig sewing pattern this time, because hands down, these are the best sewing patterns for babies and kids I have come across ever. These patterns come as an instant pdf download. The pdf files are layered which means you can choose the layer of the size(s) you’d want to make and this lets you print only this particular size, and that makes cutting out the pattern pieces so much easier because you don’t have to look for the correct line among all those sizes.

The basic t-shirt pattern is very easy to make. The pattern includes both long and short sleeves. I love that it’s not overly wide, and seems to be well proportioned for the width to length ratios. I have made these in multiple colors and sizes as Rahel has grown and I’m still happy about the fit. These are definitely some of her favorite tees in her wardrobe.

The black and white confetti fabric is from Elvelyckan Design. It’s GOTS certified organic jersey with a typical mix of 95% cotton and 5% elastane. It’s a very high quality and long-lasting fabric but make sure to wash it first as the print might start to run down when you spill water or other liquids on it. Actually most of the fabric manufacturers suggest to wash the fabrics before cutting so it would lose any shrinkage it might have. Apparently it’s a well-known and important fact that I didn’t know. After I had washed the shirt the print looked fine and the shirt looks still perfectly in shape after multiple washes.

I really love this MuttuRalla black and white fabric with little triangles as well (links HERE and HERE). I plan on purchasing some other fabrics of this designer as well because I’m am extremely pleased about the quality of this fabric! It’s super soft and stretchy, the shirts made of this fabric are so so comfortable. I have washed these shirts sooo many times and they look still like brand new. Not stretched out and no faded colors. I could be an official sales person for this fabric, it’s honestly how much I like it.

So there you go. I hope you got some inspiration for your next sewing project!
